What to expect
First Visit to Oso
Every journey starts somewhere. Learn more about the gym and make your first visit to Oso amazing!
Sign the Visitor Agreement
Everyone 18 and older must sign a Visitor Agreement before their first visit. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the Visitor Agreement on their behalf.
Grab a Day Pass and Rental Shoes
Before your first visit starts, you’ll want to grab a Day Pass and we’ll provide you with climbing shoes to get you on the wall. While we recommend purchasing your own shoes eventually for the ideal fit and performance, our free rental shoes are a great way to try the sport without any extra equipment costs.
First Visit Orientation and Gym Tour
Our helpful staff is here to support you every step of the way. During the first visit orientation, we’ll make sure you learn everything there is to know about climbing safety, etiquette, and basic techniques. Don’t worry, we won’t just leave you hanging!
Climbing Classes and Personal Instruction
Though not required during your first visit, we’ve designed classes and meet-ups to help you improve no matter what level you’re at.
From Climbing Essentials to Climbing Foundations – there’s a different focus each week, and we’ll give you the tools to become a well-rounded and versatile climber. You can also meet new friends at one of our weekly or monthly climbing meet-ups like the Women’s, Veg, BIPOC, Queer, or color-graded climbing meet-ups!
Outside of climbing, your first visit includes access to all of the classes and events happening at the gym that day. Feel free to sign up for a class (which you can do once you’ve purchased your Day Pass) and try out everything from yoga to weight lifting to kickboxing.
